A wildfire has burned more than 1,000 hectares in northern Saskatchewan and is threatening homes and crops.

The blaze, which started in the area of the Kildonan Lake Dam, has burned for more than a week, with the blaze now burning nearly 700 hectares in the region, according to CBC News.

The area was already under threat from a massive wildfire in July, which destroyed more than 3,300 hectares.
