The latest installment in the “It Gets Better” trilogy, which follows the story of a single father who, with help from his wife and son, becomes a family-friendly, family-oriented business, all while struggling to maintain a happy home.
A big part of the series is the family business itself, with the patriarch’s son, Jason, trying to establish himself in the industry by taking on a new job in a restaurant, and the patriarch, who has a history of mental illness, trying not to be the one to break up the family.
And of course, there’s the patriarch himself, who continues to fight against his mental illness and tries to keep the patriarch in the spotlight.
But the biggest change from the original “It Got Better” series was that the patriarch was now a father, and he had to fight back against the pressure from his son.
In the new installment, Jason’s father is a different person, with an understanding that Jason needs to take his mental health issues more seriously.
As Jason and his father battle for the support of their children and the company he works for, we also learn more about the patriarch and the challenges he faces in life.
“It got better” season 2 premieres Wednesday, June 12, at 10 p.m.
ET on Netflix.
