The 10th anniversary of the camel pack will be marked on Sunday, when the first ever annual camel pack race takes place in the desert.
The race starts at 3am local time (8am GMT) and runs from dawn until midnight.
The event is a showcase of camel skills from around the world, and will be held in an outdoor arena at the site of a historic desert camp in the northern Arabian Peninsula.
It is hoped the camel race will draw a crowd of thousands to the desert camp, which is now known as the Desert Camel Park.
The camels have been a popular sight at the event since the race was organised in the early 1990s.
The last event to have a camel race took place in 2012.
